Gizachew Kindie Workie

Gizachew received his Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Dilla University in 2007 and his Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Addis Ababa University in 2011.

Gizachew started his teaching career in 2007 as a university lecturer and over the years, he has been progressively building his teaching competency and professional portfolio. Over the past 15 years, he has been working as an English language teacher, teacher trainer, materials writer, researcher, and independent consultant in different local and international institutions, including Omega Secondary School, Dilla University, FHI 360, Hawassa University, and the British Council.

Apart from his extensive teaching experience, Gizachew also have a considerable experience in various technical fields/areas; notably, from 2015-2016, he worked as a Freelance English Language Reporter and Editor at the Office of Public and International Relations, Dilla University, Ethiopia. Besides, Gizachew is also a founding member and Secretary of the Smart Edge English Language Professionals’ Association (SEELPA) and he is also a member of TESOL International Association.

He has a deep passion for teaching and strongly believes that language teaching and learning should be an enjoyable experience.
